The Model Patient

Twenty-seven-year-old Evelyn Westbrook is having difficulties in her recent marriage and a friend suggests she see a therapist. She is reluctant at first, but finally agrees to make an appointment. Evelyn is apprehensive about exposing her intimate issues, but slowly the psychologist, Dr. Daley, lulls her into opening up. He’s very skillful at manipulating her, and at first the reader doesn’t realize what he is up to. But Evelyn, too, has her own deep secrets.
